Hello friends and neighbors!
My name is Thanou (tuh-nu), most of my friends simply call me T and so can you!
This journey started as a crowdfunding effort in 2021, with the goal of creating something special for our community in NW Peoria, AZ. Thanks to incredible local support, we got the momentum we needed. After testing our concept through pop-ups and events in 2022, our base grew beyond expectations. Now, after 2.5 years of pop-ups, we’re thrilled to have opened our long-awaited storefront!
Westy’s is more than just a place to eat—it’s a community space offering organic, locally sourced food like toasts, smoothies, salads, and healing juices. We’re passionate about educating others on how food impacts every aspect of daily life.
About Me
I’m originally from Paris, France, and had the privilege of living in multiple states during my early years before spending my college years in Europe. That’s where I met my amazing wife, Alison, a West Valley native. We’ve been married for 18 years and are proud parents to two incredible little foodies, Benaiah (11) and Josephine (9).
Professionally, I’ve been designing and consulting for local businesses and non-profits for over a decade and a half. All of Westy’s branding and marketing is done in-house—a huge cost saver!
In a very early chapter of my career in AZ, I was a young chef helping open a small restaurant in the West Valley. I loved the adrenaline, creativity, and camaraderie of the restaurant world. However, as a newlywed looking to start a family, I chose to step away from that demanding lifestyle to focus on what mattered most.
Now, with Westy’s, I’ve found a way to combine my love for food, design, and community into something meaningful for NW Peoria.
All in for Northwest Peoria:
We love this community deeply—from the small business owners we collaborate with to the friendly faces at our local grocery store and farmers. Watching NW Peoria grow into one of Arizona’s best places to live has been an incredible experience. With Westy’s, I aim to contribute something truly unique, building not just one of the best businesses in our community but one of the best for our community.
Strengthening Our Community
Our mission is to support those who make NW Peoria thrive—teachers, nurses, police officers, firefighters, caregivers, small business owners, and families seeking real, healthy organic food for their homes.
At Westy’s, you’ll find a place that values honest, nourishing food while supporting local farmers and artisans. More than just a restaurant, it’s a gathering space where the community can connect over the concept of REAL food.
Why this project?
Isn’t it true that no one seems to “eat normal” anymore? With endless fads and diets flooding the market, it’s hard to know what’s truly good or bad for us. We’re overwhelmed with information, making it harder than ever to make confident, informed decisions about food.
At Westy’s, we aim to cut through the noise by offering real, simple, and healthy options. My hope is to help our community regain confidence in food. Eating well isn’t out of reach—it’s about nourishing our bodies instead of breaking them down. It’s simpler than it seems and accessible to anyone willing to prioritize healthy eating habits.
We’re not here to push a diet or an impossible lifestyle. Instead, we want to inspire NW Peoria to rethink the way we eat. Our goal is to encourage and guide you toward foods that will help you feel better than yesterday—without judgment or rigidity. I personally value flexibility and grace when life gets busy, whether it’s during a hectic season at home or on vacation. With grace comes hope, and when paired with daily intentionality, you may find yourself closer to your health goals than you think!
Life is fast-paced, hectic, and full of demands—but food shouldn’t be a source of stress. It shouldn’t make us sick; it should fuel our minds and bodies. Life is precious and exciting, and keeping our bodies healthy gives us the foundation to live fully and do amazing things with our time on earth.
Northwest Peoria, let’s come together for real relationships, real community, real change, and real food.
By nourishing ourselves with intention, we can restore health—not just physically but in every way—and be at our best when others need us most.
